Kasktaş A.Ş. Projeler Koordinatörü Alp Gökalp tarafından 1.12.2016 Perşembe günü bir seminer verilecektir. Seminer VYKM 2 numaralı salonda, 14:00-15:30 saatleri arasında gerçekleşecektir. "Geoteknik ve Temel Mühendisliğindeki Yenilikler, Güncel İksa ve Derin Temel Uygulamaları" başlıklı seminerin kapsamı aşağıda verilmektedir.

Seminar: Instrumentation and Montoring in Geotechnical Engineering

Orhan İnanır, technical manager at GEOgrup, will give a talk on November 3rd, 2016. The talk, which will take place at VYKM Room 2 and start at 14:00, will discuss methods for systematic planning for geotechnical monitoring. Topics covered will include measurement uncertainty, various instrumentation transducers and data acquisition systems (groundwater pressure, total stress, deformation, load and strain in structural members, temperature, vibration and noise), management of data and its presentation, and a case study.

Dr. Memos visited ASCE Turkey Group & delivered ASCE Seminar at Boğaziçi University on 26 September 2019!

Dr. Constantine Memos, Professor Emeritus of Maritime Hydraulics and Port Engineering with the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece and also the Immediate Past Director of ASCE Region 10 visited ASCE Turkey Group at Boğaziçi University on September 26, 2019.

Seminar: Mass Timber Multi-Story Buildings in Seismic Areas

Professor ARIO CECOTTI's seminar on Mass Timber Multi-Story Buildings in Seismic Areas will take place on November 17th, 14:30. Boğaziçi University, VYKM 1. 

Cross-laminated timber (CLT) will be presented as a new construction material. Mechanical properties of CLT panels will be discussed, and the construction of multi-story buildings out of CLT panels with new generation self-tapping screws will be illustrated.
