Biography
Dr. Constantine Memos, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE

Dr. Constantine Memos, Professor Emeritus National Technical University of Athens, holds an MΕng degree in Civil Engineering (NTUA), a Mathematics Diploma (University of Patras), a DIC and a PhD in Maritime Hydraulics (Imperial College). He served as Professor of Maritime Hydraulics and Port Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA, Greece, until 2014. Currently he is engaged with educational and research activities in NTUA at the postgraduate level. Dr. Memos’s research interests include conventional and probabilistic water wave mechanics, port structures behavior under seismic action, submerged coastal structures, shallow water wave propagation. He has authored or co-authored about 170 publications dealing with such subjects. As a professional engineer he has been involved in a variety of port, harbour, and coastal engineering projects in Greece and abroad. Dr. Memos is a Fellow and the immediate past International Director of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Logistics for Boğaziçi University:
The South Campus of Boğaziçi University is the historical campus situated on a hill overlooking the Bosphorous and the fortress, Rumeli Hisari. The metro line M6 (Levent – Hisarüstü/Boğaziçi Üniversitesi) has a station adjacent to the South Campus Main Gate. Please provide your ID card at the main gate. Once you enter, you can walk down the hill, following the path on the right, and please take the first left to arrive at Perkins Hall. The map of South Campus can be found at: https://map.boun.edu.tr/.  
 
If you choose to arrive by car, please provide your ID card at the main gate and follow the road on the left to proceed to the guest parking garage. Perkins Hall is located slightly southwest of the parking garage, almost adjacent to parking. Please beware that only very limited parking space will be available at the guest garage. Several private parking garages and street parking is available just outside the campus. You can also find some public transportation and parking related information at:

Perkins Hall:
The Engineering Building (Perkins Hall, 1962) is a four-story building that houses the office of the Dean of Engineering as well as the Civil, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering Departments. Vedat Yerlici Conference Center is located at the 5th (top) floor of Perkins Hall. You can take the elevator and just follow the signs after you arrive at the 5th floor.
