Dr. Keten, Class of '05, win prestigious award

Dr. Sinan Keten, Associate Professor at Northwesten University and a graduate of our Department (class of '05) was awarded the Presidential Early Caree Award in Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) - the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on outstanding scientists and engineers beginning their independent careers. Through his research, Dr. Keten aims to gain fundamental insight into the mechanics and dynamics of biological and bioinspired systems at multiple-length scales, and to reflect the knowledge gained from these studies to the development of bioinspired design principles.
